Summer in Los Angeles – Movie Nights

Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery

There are plenty of different places all around LA that screen movies with the city as its backdrop. Take for instance Cinespia. However, it is only during the Summer when Cinespia moves their weekly movie nights out of the beautiful Palace Theater and onto the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Once you arrive, with a picnic basket in hand, you will find yourself surrounded by tons of elaborate headstones that lead you to a big field of grass with a building in the front. That big building is your movie screen and the green field is your seat. Arrive early to claim your spot, take photos in their themed photo booth, groove to the DJ, and watch the sunset before the movie begins. Cinespia is an unforgettable experience perfect for a night out with friends or for a romantic date night. For the month of July they are featuring:

Street Food Cinema

If Cinespia wasn’t enough, there is also Street Food Cinema. Unlike Cinespia, each film for Street Food Cinema happens at a different venue and area of LA. That includes Pasadena, Hollywood, the Pacific Palisades and of course, DTLA. Another difference between SFC and Cinespia is that SFC features tons and tons of food trucks! Experience your city with gourmet street food and music beforehand as the sun sets until the sky is dark and the feature film begins. To check out this year’s film lineup, head to their schedule here.
