Welcome back to another AVEN blog post everyone! As some of you may or may not know, Downtown LA consists of more than just South Park. Along with the Fashion District, Little Tokyo, Historic Core, and the Financial District, there is also Bunker Hill. And you can be sure there are tons of fun things to do in the area.

Take for instance the bars and restaurants in the area. Just to name a few, there is Blue Cow Kitchen Bar, Redbird, and Otium. If you are looking for a wonderful BBQ chicken flatbread, then head over to Blue Cow. Redbird has a delicious burrata salad and Otium’s foie gras funnel cake is out of this world.

The Arts

Fun fact, the Arts District is not the only place to find art in DTLA. Within Bunker Hill, you will find one of the best contemporary museums in California. In particular, The Broad. With interchanging exhibits, the Broad’s includes collections from all of the 60’s icons. For instance, you will find the works of Jeff Koon, Andy Warhol, and even Jean-Michel Basquiat. Also in Bunker Hill is the Walt Disney Concert Hall where you can enjoy live classical music from the LA Philharmonic.

Last up is Skyspace on 633 W Fifth St. For anyone looking for one of the best views in all of Los Angeles, it is here. The most unique part of Skyspace is the slide. On the 70th floor, there is a 45-foot slide made entirely of glass that will take you speeding down along the side of the building. This feature is kid friendly so feel free to bring the family here. Furthermore, it is a great place for anyone in need of a quintessential LA Instagram photo. Open from 10 AM to 9 PM, the unparalleled 360-degree views from the open-air terraces will also make for a wonderful date night.

From delicious meals to unique LA landmarks, Bunker Hill in Downtown LA is filled with all sorts of adventures and only six miles away from AVEN in South Park.
